Consuelo Buesa

I was born in Barcelona on September 28 of 1957. Graduated in Industrial and Interior Design at the Massana School and Sociology at the Massana School, also I studied Design by Javier Mariscal, Underground comics by Nazario, Underground comics for "Only you" and Theory of color by Isabel Campí; other certifications are Advertising at the Massana School, Bauhaus at the Massana School, Artistic training in painting and sculpture by Josep Companys,, Artistic training in painting by Antonio Seres and I am Member of the Royal Artistic Circle of Barcelona. My interest in human expression, emphasizing the character that in the story of the character has been deposited in his face. Capture the essence of the person through the concatenation of planes with flat paint, following the British masters of flat painting such as Hamilton, David Honey or Julian Opie. The color is a fundamental element in my work since it is the vehicle to show the personality of the person portrayed. I am working on a collection of portraits that will be titled "Creators". I have chosen a series of characters that for me have been great creators in different disciplines and all of them with very strong personality characteristics. Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Shakespeare, Goya, Mozart, Beethoven, Clara Shumann, Sigmund Freud, Alma Mahler, Frida Khalo, Maria Callas, Coco Chanel, Van Gogh, ... The technique I use is acrylic on canvas and the format is 100x100cm.
