Francesco Cusumano

Francesco Cusumano was born in Carini, Palermo Sicily in 1964. He studied languages at the Technical Tourism School in Palermo. His passion for art emerged early on. Painting has been a part of his life since he was a little child; paper and colours were his preferred toys. The artist’s fascination with painting continued throughout the years.  He first taught himself figurative art techniques, depicting spaces and dimensions he’d observed intensively. He learned about the significance that light and dark contrast have, how to identify the proportion and how to place them in their proper relationship.
